Hosting Considerations

CISSE recognizes that no prospective host institution will meet every criterion. During the planning process, a variety of factors are considered to identify the strongest partnership while ensuring an exceptional experience for attendees.

The ideal host provides a plenary space accommodating approximately 150 attendees, two to three breakout rooms, reliable audiovisual support, and accessible meeting spaces.

Convenient access to regional or major airports, nearby lodging, parking, and local transportation contribute significantly to attendee participation.

On-site catering or trusted local vendors capable of supporting breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks, and at least one evening networking event.

CISSE values institutions that actively support conference planning through local coordination, volunteer engagement, and institutional advocacy.

Relationships with government agencies, employers, academic partners, and regional sponsors help strengthen both the conference and the local cybersecurity ecosystem.

Five-Year Planning Outlook

To promote regional accessibility and broaden institutional partnerships, CISSE rotates conference locations throughout the United States.
