The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education

CISSE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education at all levels. CISSE was founded in 1996 to provide a forum for educators, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge and best practices in information security education. CISSE hosts an annual conference that brings together cybersecurity educators from around the world to discuss current trends, challenges, and innovations in information security education.

Organization

The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education is dedicated to the advancement of cybersecurity education and training.

CISSE has developed from its inception in 1996 to become a worldwide renowned organization with members from over 30 countries. Every year, hundreds of guests participate, including representatives from top cybersecurity organizations and institutes. The organization provides a critical forum for furthering cybersecurity education and training. With the growing demand for trained cybersecurity workers, efforts of CISSE play an important role in ensuring that educational programs match business demands and generate competent individuals.

CISSE provides a journal, working groups, and webinars as outlets for collaboration and information sharing. By offering access to cutting-edge research and best practices, these tools serve to advance the status of cybersecurity education.

The Colloquium Conference

The annual CISSE conference brings together educators, academics, and practitioners in the field of information security to exchange their ideas and best practices. The event includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops on a variety of themes including cybersecurity curriculum design, instructional approaches, and emerging technology. Attendees will also get the opportunity to network with peers and industry experts at the conference.

In addition, CISSE works along with a variety of other organizations and institutions to spread awareness and education about cybersecurity issues worldwide.
