CISSE recognizes that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process, and communicate information is vital to business continuity and security. The goal of The Colloquium is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Building upon the scholarly contributions and community engagement of the 2026 editorial cycle, CISSE is repositioning the in-person milestone event for mid-year 2027. The extended planning period provides an opportunity to strengthen academic, industry, government, and education partnerships while developing a program and conference experience that reflects three decades of advancing cybersecurity education.
