Understanding ABET Accreditation for Cybersecurity Programs and Becoming a Program Evaluator
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals is greater than ever. Ensuring the quality and rigor of cybersecurity education programs is critical to preparing students for the challenges of protecting sensitive information and infrastructure. This is where ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) plays a pivotal role.
The Colloquium™ recognizes that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process, and communicate information is vital to business continuity and security. The goal of The Colloquium™ is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
