The Department of Computer Engineering and Sciences at Florida Tech is seeking applications for both teaching faculty and tenure-track research faculty, beginning as early as August 2019.
Preference is for the Assistant Professor level, but other levels will be considered. Required qualifications for the position include an earned Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or closely related field, evidence of the ability to develop and sustain an active research program, and a sincere interest in quality teaching, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants from all areas of computer science and engineering are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to applicants who have a background in cybersecurity, data science and secure software development.
The department has ABET accredited programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering and receives significant active research funding from a number of government agencies and industry partners. Florida Tech is an NSA/DHS designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research, and new faculty will also have the opportunity to work with the Harris Institute for Assured Information.
Florida Tech is located in Melbourne on Florida’s Space Coast, one of the nation’s fastest growing high- tech areas.
