February 2022 - The Colloquium for Information Systems Security announces the release of the Winter 2022 issue of our Journal publication. This volume highlights 22 academic papers presented at the 25th Colloquium Online (October 2021) that foster significant advances in the body of knowledge, particularly in teaching emerging topics of quantum computing, visualization of data, and cyber warfare. A special thanks to paper authors, reviewers, and editors for their time and dedication.

HAFNIUM targeting Exchange Servers with 0-day exploits

Microsoft has detected multiple 0-day exploits being used to attack on-premises versions of Microsoft Exchange Server in limited and targeted attacks. In the attacks observed, the threat actor used these vulnerabilities to access on-premises Exchange servers which enabled access to email accounts, and allowed installation of additional malware to facilitate long-term access to victim environments.
