A Request for Information, to be published in the Federal Register on July 12, is part of NIST’s effort (on behalf of the Department of Commerce and NIST) with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and several other federal departments and agencies to fulfill a May 11, 2017, executive order issued by President Trump on strengthening cybersecurity. The order calls for a report to the President with findings and recommendations regarding how to support the growth and sustainment of the Nation's cybersecurity workforce in both the public and private sectors.
