22nd Colloquium

Publishing and Brand Development

  • Concluded
  • June 11, 2018
  • 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Acadian I & II

The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) is seeking formal presentations for our 2018 annual education conference for this special track.

CISSE underwrites the efforts of cybersecurity educators, researchers and practitioners, in their efforts to publish, improve curricula and foster discussion of current and emerging trends in the field.

We invite Educators, Industry and Governmental representatives to propose presentations that discuss relevant and useful knowledge, trends, tips and tools; that cyber security educators use to publish and to do personal and institutional brand development.

Half of all published books today are published independently. Technology has leveled the playing field in favor of the author. Technology allows anyone to maintain a relationship with thousands of people globally at no cost. Technology has empowered anyone with a passion to build a compelling global personal brand through knowledge sharing, public speaking, networking at conferences, teaching, writing, and a wide range of activities. Authors are able to produce books in various formats such as e-books, paperback, and audio with attractive prices and global distribution.

At the same time, there is a critical need for institutions and individuals - specially independently published authors - to build a strong brand. Please contact Dr. Pailen via email if you want to be a part of this presentation.

The Colloquium recognizes that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process, and communicate information is vital to business continuity and security.
